"But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever.
I will praise You forever, Because You have done it; And in the presence of Your saints I will wait on Your name, for it is good."
Meditating in the Word this morning, I was drawn to Psalm 52:8. "I am like an olive tree in the house of the Lord."
I have an NKJV Spirit-Filled Bible by Jack Hayford that provides an interpretation of scripture to enhance understanding. I was intrigued to learn that trees were not allowed to be planted within the temple; however, the olive trees planted in the courtyard flourished with long life being near the presence of the Lord.
What a beautiful vision that was created in my mind. The olive tree was in the presence of God, flourishing with His power and majesty. This power is available to all humanity. Sitting in God's presence daily, we will also thrive because of God's never-ending love, forgiveness, and grace.
Yeshua will help us achieve an abundant life no matter what comes our way. The Bible promises that if we keep our minds on Him, we will have perfect peace.
You (God) will keep him (us) in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.
Trust in the Lord forever,
For in Yah, the Lord, is everlasting strength.
The mind is our creative imagination and thoughts and will direct our path in life. As we keep our minds, thoughts, focus, and plans firmly founded on the eternal, the Lord will bless us with shalom, perfect peace.
We need to trust in YAH (God). He is our everlasting strength. Wait on Him, sit with Him, seek Him seek Him wholeheartedly, and watch your life change!
God's blessings and peace ~
