Far too often, believers struggle with "what is my purpose" in life? We search, ask, and ponder; I have done this many times over the years in my life.
We have made it far too complicated. It is clearly stated in God's Word:
"A new command I give you:
Love one another.
As I have loved you,
so you must love one another.
By this everyone will know
that you are my disciples,
if you love one another."
John 13:34-35
Jesus spoke of a new and better covenant: love one another. Love is the guiding principle in life and the purpose of all believers.
"Let love be without hypocrisy.
Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.
Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love,
in honor giving preference to one another;
not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;
rejoicing in hope, patient[in tribulation,
continuing steadfastly in prayer;
distributing to the needs of the saints,
given to hospitality."
Romans12:9-13
Let love be your guide. Walk in love, speak in love, spread love, serve others, and your life will be abundantly blessed. It really is that simple. It is the objective, intent, and purpose of all believers.
