My Yoke is Easy

The New King James Version of the Matthew 11: 28-30 reads as following:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,
for I am gentle and humble in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Lately, I have been searching my heart and realized I have strayed from what speaks to my soul and spirit. Learning about Native Americans' complete dependency on Creator God to survive has always spoken to me. Even more today, I have seen First Nation believers exude a kind of worship and God connection I desire.
I aspire to have that life, to walk Jesus's way, and closely commune with Father God. To achieve this desire, I have begun to read scripture diligently daily.
I have many versions of the Bible and reap the benefits of studying the different interpretations. I have now added the First Nations Version - An Indigenous Translation of the New Testament into my studies.
Here is the First Nations Version of Matthew 11:28-30:
"Come close to my side, you whose hearts are on the ground,
you who are pushed down and worn out, and I will refresh you.
Follow my teachings and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble of heart,
and you will find rest from your troubled thoughts.
Walk side by side with me and I will share in your heavy load and make it light."
This version speaks to my heart; I pray it helps you feel the love of Jesus and gives you hope.
God's blessings and peace ~
