We always strive to start the new year with numerous resolutions, and within weeks and sometimes days, we fall back into the same routines. The change will only come with commitment and diligence.
For this to work, one must start with a change of mindset. One can change perspectives by replacing old negative thinking patterns with scripture.
Here are a few to start the new year:
"You will show me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore."
Psalm 16:11
"Do not remember the former things,
Nor consider the things of old.
Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert."
Isaiah 43:18-19
"A man's heart plans his way,
But the Lord directs his steps."
Proverbs 16:9
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the Lord and depart from evil.
It will be health to your flesh,
And strength to your bones."
Proverbs 3:5-8
As 2024 begins, make a conscious effort to change your thinking. Allow God to direct every step, which is done by asking the Holy Spirit to lead.
Acknowledge God in all things, depart from evil, and forget things from the past; this will bring health to your body, soul, and spirit. A mindful living will bring the presence of joy and peace only found in Jesus.
If you have not asked Jesus to forgive you and accept Him as your Savoir, this is done by following Romans 10:9-10:
"The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart"
(that is, the word of faith which we preach):
that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus
and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead,
you will be saved.
For with the heart one believes unto righteousness,
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
May this new year be one of great awakening and blessings by acknowledging and choosing to live life the Jesus way.
God's blessings and peace ~
